showing up randomly at this bookstore I was in. There were two secret-service looking dudes hanging around the doorway, complete with sunglasses and earpieces. I walked around, shopping, and there was a lot of whispering... because people knew he was there. Suddenly, he said something like, "I give up!" and everyone sat down on the floor, and he started giving a speech about the economy. I took a picture of him with my phone. Then he walked around, shaking everybody's hands, and when he got to me, he shook my hand, and then hugged me!
I remember saying to the secret service people, when I came in, "It's just so exciting to have a president I actually like, for the first time in 8 years!" That's exactly how I feel.
(I've had one other dream about him before. In it, he said to me, "Don't call me Obama, call me O'Change!"??!!??!!)

Clean Eating
Clean Eating is one of my new favorite magazines. It's not entirely vege or anything, but has some really great recipes in it! And they test cookware, or other helpful cooking things... in short, they are awesome! I have so many new things I want to try out~ :)
(eta: typing on my couch is kind of a pain in the ass. Main point? it took me over 5 minutes just to write that, since my mouse went kind of crazy, tried to print something, and then locked up. Yeah, not so much a fan of that.)
off to watch a movie, and prolly fall asleep on the couch... being that I'm sick and home from work!

sick
Blergh. I am sick. Staying home from work tomorrow. And my stupid boss? Sucks. We have sick days, and if anyone ever deigns to take one... well watch out. I gave notice this morning, and then, she told the other director to let me call for a sub myself. She did not even say anything to me about it, just left him to tell me... at 3:30. Well, I did not reach our normal sub, so I left it to him to fix. Just stupid passive-aggressive bullshit; because it's not enough to make me write up sub plans, take the day off after I am really sick and would like to stay home... no... how about I find a sub myself? Normal people in normal jobs- stay home when they are sick, and don't have to do 2 days worth of work to do it. I will not miss this place at all.
I will never be this kind of boss to anyone else. Stupid and petty.

Things I've Bought That I Love
Since she hasn't posted in a freakishly long time(Mindy Ephron, that is)... something I bought that I love? Huggable Hangers!! Who would have thought that crazy little clothes hangers from THE HOME SHOPPING CHANNEL would make me so incredibly happy? In what has become the longest week of my life, rearranging my closet last night (before going back to work- don't ask) was completely the most enjoyable part of my day. Yes, they are kind of crazy expensive. Yes, I got all sorts of extra weird things that I don't quite know what to do with them. Yes, you can choose what color they are. And, yes, THEY ARE AWESOME!! And now I have like 33% more closet space.
Seriously, this is one of the bright spots of a week consisting of endless report cards, working, extra working... to feel like I got something accomplished that wasn't for someone else? Felt pretty darn good.
